The Hallows Legacy - Generation 1 Part 2

alleliua . This is a Round Robin legacy, using the original legacy rules as set out by Pinstar and the round robin rules as set out by Laridian. I will be playing through generation 1, until the generation 2 offspring age to adult. The generation 2 heir/ess will be chosen by poll and sent off to start their adult pixellated life with daysofoursims . The overall theme for the legacy is "horror and halloween" and the naming theme for this generation's offspring is based on the movie Alien.
The teaser isn't exactly the world's most cryptic image but I'm going to go ahead and pretend it doesn't exist.
Oh, look! Rosemary is pregnant! Just like I said last update :)
Not that this slows down these two. For a couple of Knowledge 2 bolters they're actually quite randy.
As a side note - a couch placed out of grid + on an angle = lol-arity but I decided not to post the pictures of their contortions.
Rosemary: This pea up my nose makes me want to serve a chip & dip platter!

Then she woke up and popped.
I've been expanding and updating. Let's take a quick house tour of some of the updated rooms.
The kitchen. Basically, they just got some new appliances but no new counters.
A bigger table with more chairs in the dining nook.
A new half wall has been added where previously there was a bathroom wall. The reading corner remains unchanged, except it now also houses Jones and his food dish.
On the other side of the half wall (on the left of the above image) there is a door into a room you will see shortly but which did not exist at the time I took these pictures and there is another small nook in there holding the computer desk, which has been moved out of the kitchen/dining area.
The TV corner pretty much just got moved but remains unchanged. Since I took this image, I have added a rug and two paintings, one on each of the two visible walls.
If you do a 180 deg turn and look towards the door, this is what you see. The scratching post has now been replaced with one of those huge kitty condo climbing thingies.
The bathroom, pt 1. With time, I added the K&B towel rack and a bog roll between the toilet and bath.
The bathroom, pt 2. Between the bath and sink there is now a K&B hanging towel rack with a tasteful flower arrangement underneath, on the floor. And underneath the sink there is a stack of towels. The place needed some colour, basically. It was a bit too white + grey + blah.
The bedroom. Note the Fertilinator bed. You just know that I downloaded Numenor's version and that it comes back to bite me on the backside, don't you? *foreboding*
The other side of the bedroom. The two images were taken as if you were standing in the door, which is directly behind the camera in the first image and difectly to the right of this one. So there is nothing else to see in here, as there is nothing against the other wall.
Sorry about the bedroom pics being so dark but Rosemary was sleeping and I forgot to turn the lights on :)
The house from the outside.
Since this picture was taken, thanks to some promotion money they also got a pond (in the foreground, bottom right) and managed to furnish a couple of extra rooms. The two rooms you didn't see are the hobby room - later the child room - and the nursery, as they were unfurnished at the time I took these images. As with any legacy house, this one is evolving as Rosemary and Troy get promotions and just generally bring home money from work. And Troy's 17K didn't stretch all that far once all the walls for the extension were built... Plus the Fertilinator costs 4K simoleons but I never get to use it and for some reason I decided I had to have it. So that ate a whole lot of money.
Jones is a boy and those kittens aren't going to birth themselves!
I also have a clean Pets template and despite the fact that I took out my "no stray respawn" hack, the only strays being spawned by the game are white wolved. Which is just weird and freaky but this is the Hallows Legacy so perhaps weird and freaky is not entirely unexpected.
This is Kawaii. She has no tail. I didn't know this until she arrived on the lot.
She's going to fit right in. She's not a fan of the overturned flower pot just like Jones.
The two cats get to know each other while Mina catches up on the latest news.
I was just stokes that the cat available for adoption was a female. If it had been a male the cat part of this legacy would have been in major trouble. I don't think this game allows for kitteh manpreg.
Rosemary tries to make Kawaii feel welcome in the family.
SOMEBODY has to have a high enough relationship with the cats to make the kitteh-preg happen :)
Rosemary then discovered the hobby room :) And I found out her one true hobby is music and dance!
Let there be baby kittehs!
Troy then discovered the ballet barre and never looked back. For a couple of days he kept going back to the barre as if pulled by some sort of invisible bungee cord.
Here is proof that Rosemary popped for the second time. I kind of missed it so to compensate, I sent her out to a community lot. She met Alice and got stalked by Judah, who just isn't giving up on the power of his night bowling anecdotes.
This is the part where you will either wet your pants laughing or decide that you hate me forever.
Meet Tara Maclay, the Totally Uber Awesome Good Witch (OK, so I didn't write down the official title).
There are a couple of other super lame/awesome little surprises skulking around this neighbourhood. But for now, bask in the glow of goodness that is Tara.
There is no reason for this picture other than Troy + kitty = cute
Knowledge sims don't seem to do much by way of tummy interactions, but since these two are so adorable together I had to have at least one of these pics!
Because almost immediately afterwards it was time for this!
Meet Ripley (girl)
and Dallas (boy).
I was stunned. And with each of them coming out with a different skintone I couldn't have planned it better myself.
The nursery got quickly furnished.
Just a view of the two cots. No real reason for this picture other than being part of the "room tour".
Let's get a better look at the babies.
Ripley has mum's eyes and hair and dad's skintone.
Dallas is the exact opposite - dad's eyes and hair colour, mum's skintone.
Rosemary: *fixes the computer by jamming a very large screw driver randomly into its guts*
Computer: *miraculously gets fixed after this treatment*
engram : *wishes fixing and upgrading computers really was this easy* Anyone got a spare laptop they want to share?
Rosemary then starts writing an alien + horror saga. If it's got zombies in it, it gets an extra star.
And only those who listen to movie reviews done by MC Suffer will understand that last comment. Which is quite possibly not a single person reading this.

I don't think either of the babies is going to give you a hug, Jones. Sorry buddy!
Because this is an equal opportunity legacy Troy then took a day off work while Rosemary resumed her faltering career as a dolphin tank cleaner or whatever she was at this stage after her demotion.
And then the four baby kittehs were born. Kane and Ash are names from the theme but I made up Jade and Polk because if I kept using character names from Alien I was going to run out of names for the next kid and I had to leave myself one male and one female name for the third kid.
They pretty much all looked like this. But without the attached Ball Of Stick (TM pending, I'm sure).
You're not fooling Rosemary for the second time, Mr Dolphin!

And Rosemary shimmies one more rung up the Career Ladder of Eternal Happiness.
Tiny baby kittehs are tiny. That little fellow (girl?) peering over the side of the basket is super cute.
The twins then had a birthday. Dallas was up first.
The hair is not the best but just look at that face!

Also, the hair would have stayed were it not for the massive bald spot on the crown. As you all know I have no gripe with Maxis content being showcased front and centre in my game but massive bald spots on toddlers are not what I signed up for.
And then it was Ripley's turn.
You get no toddler picture of her because her brother distracts us with baby kitteh torture cuteness!

Actually, have a CAS pic now, because I just realised that I didn't take a face closeup of Ripley for absolute ages. I gave her black hair because I actually didn't have any custom neon toddler hair. I went on a hair retexturing rampage after this was taken.
Rosemary went shopping for toddler and child clothes.
What is it with this game insisting on putting every single toddler into the same black bear suit? Both Dallas and Ripley ended up with the damn black bear suit for PJs.
Rosemary and Wido then stood at attention next to each other for about two game hours.
Rosemary and Wido: *stand there like confused freshly raised zombies*
Everyone: *is suitably creeped out*
Oh, look, it's Willow Rosenberg, the Attrociously Evil Witch!
Willow: At least this time around I get sparkles and I'm not all black and veiny!
engram : *dodges rotten tomatoes thrown by the legacy audience*Oh, believe me - the fun and laughter don't stop here!

engram 's use of the Scoobies as the supernatural supreme beings in this legacy!
Ben Hitch then turned up and started birdwatching in the middle of the night.
Which means it's time for moving on to another community lot and to prepare to throw some more rotten fruit!
Surprise! It's William "The Bloody" Pratt!
Aka Spike, for those of you not thoroughly versed with Buffyverse.
Spike is a blood-thirsty vampire who kills for sport.
Count Spike: Don't come any closer! I am so blood thirsty I could administer the "vampire kiss" to any of these unwitting victims at any moment!
engram : Just look at those widdle fanglets! He's so cute!
Count Spike: I will cook your liver and serve it with some fava beans and a nice chianti.
Rosemary: Tell me more!
I was absolutely mesmerised by Spike. I took about 20 pictures of him and Rosemary talking but since this is not the Count Spike Legacy I limited myself to posting just these four.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
Ripley got sick of waiting for someone to put her to bed and crawled out into the snow, bedding down in the kennel instead.
Only to find that several hours later she was trapped and unable to get out.

Blah... blah... potty training. It's late at night for me and I'm too tired to come up with a witty caption.
I then insisted that Ripley had to wear her new clothes for at least 5 minutes.
Because toddlers seem to spend most of their time in the PJ black bear suit of doom, like Dallas here.
Just remember - you're the good guy here, Troy!
Crap! Being the good guy apparently also means finishing last!
Choosing that option had worked for me numerous times in the past.
The baby kittehs are black. Not unlike the floor. Hence the lack of pictures of baby kittehs. I can't see them most of the time since they're either underneath the massive piles of snow outside or invisible against the black floor inside.
Ball of Stink: You can't miss me! I'm bright green!
This was around the time that I realised that Rosemary and Troy did not have the Try For Baby option any more. Too many residents!
And then the baby kittehs grew up :)

I kept Jade because I liked her face markings and also she was the only one with a different personality to the other three, who were personality clones of each other. I know that ideally we would have an heir poll for the kitty heir but I wanted to keep playing and I had no idea if anybody else would want cats in their part of the legacy so I just chose the one I liked. If people want a kitty heir poll, we can have one later. It would be pretty simple to get all of them extracted.
Ripley: Get me out of the Black Bear Suit Of Doom! *BFFs with Rosemary*
Jones: What ARE they doing??? The small one has a rather interesting way of using the litter.
This is to show that Dallas is not the "forgotten child". I just have a very uneven way of documenting the kids' lives. First you got Dallas spam and then he seemingly disappeared off the face of the planet in favour of a bunch of pictures of Ripley.
They both exist and are both loved.
Oh FFS!
She also got demoted.
From now on, they both take the low road and are going to choose the nasty, not-nice-or-honest option.
My hair retexturing efforts finally bear fruit. Ripley hair is the first in a series of about 20 hair retextures I'm doing.
Prepare to be pelted with lots and lots of neon hair in the near future.
Rosemary wanted to get to know Tara better so I thought "Why not?" We need to introduce some supernaturalness into this legacy, anyway :)
Tara: I know that Troy is your sunshine on a cloudy day but I can show you how to make real sunshine if you agree to follow the path of light!
Rosemary: Bring it on!
Tara: *Says something appropriately witchy*

Oh, crap. I didn't think their relationship was high enough for Rosemary to turn Attociously Good.
I also need to look up the name for the Super Good witch. I know the bad one is Attrociously Evil but I cannot remember the title of the good one.
After several days Troy finally gets himself back onto the Education Career Track of Eternal Happiness. At higher pay than previously. Take that, Ms Moorington!
I thought this was pretty funny. Troy was teaching Dallas the nursery rhyme and Jones came over to "sing" with them.
Mina kept calling and coming over so I could no longer deny her a spotlight in this legacy.
Success!!
Turns out Mina is a social townie and she promised Rosemary a promotion next time she goes to work. YAY!
I was too tired to caption this myself so...
With three, there were still too many cats in the house so it's bye bye Kawaii.
Ripley (to Jones): And you, you little shithead. You're staying here.
