Welcome back to the Hallows Legacy!

Rosemary, our lovely founder, is by [personal profile] alleliua . This is a Round Robin legacy, using the original legacy rules as set out by Pinstar and the round robin rules as set out by Laridian. I will be playing through generation 1, until the generation 2 offspring age to adult. The generation 2 heir/ess will be chosen by poll and sent off to start their adult pixellated life with [personal profile] daysofoursims . The overall theme for the legacy is "horror and halloween" and the naming theme for this generation's offspring is based on the movie Alien. The generation 1 spouse, Troy, was made by [personal profile] cpowellscircus .

Yeah, so I didn't have to wait long for the perfect teaser image to present itself.

When we left off 2 weeks ago, The twins had just aged to child and Rosemary was just about ready to pop out the result of her second pregnancy. Troy and Ripley celebrated her new-found independence by playing chicken with Rosemary's carpool. Because due to pretty much being constantly either pregnant or on maternity leave and my total refusal to hire another nanny ever again she's hardly progressed in her career. Last time I hired a nanny she refused to be fired and kept turning up to care for the generation 3 kids of the Andersons, which was just creepy.

A sign of things to come? Why is Dallas heart farting over a schmexy man in a uniform?

I'm not one to stop my sims from following their hearts but you're starting awfully early, young Dallas!

Now that the twins have grown up it does not mean that the cats are harassed any less. Everyone keeps dropping what they are doing to hug the cats. The maid keeps dropping great big piles of rubbish all over the place to hug the cats.

The damn cats are a menace but I actually kind of like them and I think I might include a cat side-legacy next time I do a full legacy rather than a RR.

Be daring!

Why does ethnic = spicy?

Is this interpretation of the word local to the US where "ethnic" actually means something, life ethnic = Indian (from the subcontinent)? Because as someone who has lived in Australia more than half my life I fail to see why ethnic food should be interpreted as spicy.

Anyway, I have a chilli cupcake story that I was going to relate in full right about here but when I typed it out it was way too long so I decided to summarise it as "chilli cupcakes = evil and who makes chilli cupcakes anyway????"

Watch out kids! Troy is an Elementary School Teacher now so he can keep an eye on you 24/7!

I was awakened from my personal musings of why Troy takes a separate carpool when he could just ride on the bus with the kids since they go to and return from school at the same time.

This is where you find out where the Fertillinator bed gets it's name.

This is Lambert, a girl (Lambert was a female in the movie, too, I'm keeping the names with the gender they belong to)

And this is Parker, a boy.

Lambert got custom hair and Troy's eyes, Parker has brown hair and Troy's eyes. You can see the skintones.

Rosemary starts to desperately study the Ways of Light. I want her to turn at least one of the kids into a witch by the time this generation is over but I have no idea how to go about it. She's maxed on alignment but she knows zero about being a witch. And I have no idea what sort of a spell I need. Does anyone know? Should she be studying neutral magic and learning those spells? It "turn another sim into a witch" a neutral spell? I've never had a witch long enough to have her turn someone so I genuinely have no idea.

This is where I forgot that they were supposed to be nasty when it comes to chance card choices.

So of course the nice choice bit me in the patootie and Jones got demoted.

I think the game is telling me that the Hallows family needs to be a bit more nasty.

The kids heave a huge sigh of relief as Troy is promoted to High School Teacher and they can finally get on with their playground hijinx without having Daddy Dearest at the school to witness it all.

I missed the cakes but:

Parker grows into the bald patch hair

And Lambert confetti-explodes into formalwear and total baldness.

Makeover time!

This was when I realised I had exhausted all neon hair possibilities my Downloads folder had to offer. Also - please note the elf ears!

Parker also is a ball of cuteness. And has the elf ears!

So I checked everyone. Rosemary snuck the elf ears into the family. I didn't check under Troy's beanie but I would hazzard a guess that he does not have elf ears because Ripley doesn't have them either. Dallas, Lambert and Parker all have elf ears. Which is why I said in a post on my LJ that the heir poll just got that much harder.

Bill by [personal profile] xhale  invited himself into the house (nobody spoke to him), then proceeded to drum for the rest of the night.

And then proceeded to abuse the family for not offering him a bed for the night.

You're the one that came in uninvited. And there was a perfectly good couch in the living room. You could have napped on that since you were determined to spend the night regardless of what the family wanted.

Apart from heart farting over policemen, Dallas is a good little ballerina. He is not choosing his destiny at all! Not at all! LOL

And Ripley would probably get the "Dare Devil" trait in TS3 since she likes to risk calling in the Social Worker when she overheats.

With 4 kids in the house things are a lot more hectic. Also, the second set of twins have a lot less neat points than the first set (who both have something like 9 or 10 neat points each). So both Lambert and Parker make liberal use of the pet food dishes.

Please ignore the cat licking her privates in the background. I figured that somebody was going to notice so I might as well comment on it.

Rosemary: Once upon a time there lived a beautiful princess and she had a really kick-ass toilet that cost 900 simoleons.

Lambert: Fascinating... Look! Booger!

Rosemary: The princess lived in a beatiful castle.

Lambert: Did the princess have a rocket? I hope she had a rocket!

Rosemary: One day a wicked witch gave a poison apple to the princess, who immediately fell unconscious and slept for a bajillion years.

Lambert: I bet her toilet lost a lot of value over that time. Tell me the part about the toilet again.

Rosemary: After a bajillion years had passed, the princess was rescued by a plushie and they all had a plushie party and the princess dressed as a somewhat run-down giant rabbit. The end.

Lambert: After a bajillion years surely they had developed some sort of rocket technology? This story is sadly lacking in details as to what happened to the toilet and there are not enough rockets.

ZOMG! Autonomous toddler huggle! These guys have more nice points than the two mean neatfreaks.

This is just to document the first amount of money earned by an heir candidate.

Rosemary keeps wanting to cast spells but she still has practically zero witching knowledge due to the constant child care.

The kids take pretty good care of themselves, though. What, between the pet food bowls, the toys...

and with the parents calling in sick so they can look after the kids and allow each other to earn the occasional promotion.

A closeup of Parker, just so you appreciate the sheer amount of cute embodied in this little bunch of pixels.

And a closeup of Lambert, because she totally deserves one.

Yes, the toddlers are sleeping on pet mats. Don't judge me! LOL

Leaving Troy at home with fake!flu totally paid off and Rosemary got a promotion!

Rosemary: GET OUT!!!! Can't you see that I'm on the bog here???? What is wrong with you???!!!???

I discovered that Rosemary can teleport!

Not very well, mind you.

But the lights are teh pretties when she gets up and pretends like she didn't just faceplant in her child's pet bed.

Troy: Son, let me tell you that it's the girls and not the boys that have the milkshake that brings the boys to the yard.

Dallas: *skeptical*

For the record, I'm going to let ACR give them a random token when they age to teen so this is not foreshadowing anything because I haven't played beyond what you see in this update and I have not randomised their gender preference using ACR yet.

I totally missed the cakes again but look! Lambert!

And yes, I've been recolouring hair because prior to this I only had Ripley's "Peggy tails" and HP's Roman hair as neons.

I can feel participation in a dance contest coming on!

Given that they don't actually have a stereo in the house so everyone has zero dance skill, that should be pretty funny.

This is child Parker.

Parker: *is super cute*

[personal profile] engram : *dies of cuteness overload!*

I'm all better now, thanks :)

It was Saturday and Rosemary went to work so Troy took the kids to the local park.

Lambert: Wanna play chess, Mister?

Wido: Oooh! Rain drops! Each of them is different!

Lambert: *goes off to find another partner for chess*

Parker: Hey! GUYS! Look! Someone put soap into this fountain! It's hee-lair-eeee-yous!

Dallas: Bang! Bang! I got you!

Ripley: No you didn't! I'm Neo and I totes bullet-timed!

Everyone: OW! OW! OW! OWIE!!!!

Troy (in the background): *eats macadamia nut cookies because I forgot to feed him before they left home*

Ripley: *almost dies so I have to cheat her needs back up because they're dropping almost logarithmically*

Hail: *falls on everyone's heads*

Lambert: I can check mate you in 7 moves but go ahead and try to beat me, lady.

Amelia: What a precocious child! Did you learn to play chess using alphabet blocks?

Ellie: She's just prolonging the agony. The minor has the obvious advantage in that game.

Once she had beaten poor Amelia, Lambert skipped off to greet Willow Rosenberg, the Atrociously Evil Witch. I think I have an evil genius in the making on my hands!

Troy: Those macadamia nut cookies didn't really do much to satiate my hunger. I bet this marshmallow is just the thing for it!

Dallas: *quietly plays on the merry-go-round with strange men*

Great child-rearing skills you have there, Troy!

Troy: Thanks :)

Ripley thought that the Human Statue was highly amusing.

GO HOME! And try not to hurl.

He seriously stayed on the merry-go-round most of the time they were at the park. And he had "Throw Up" queued when he finally went home.

Yes, the cats are still there, receiving massive amounts of attention. Due to the lack of counters and being trained fairly early in the art of not destroying furniture, the cats don't really get up to anything really interesting.

The repair people must lead really unfulfilling lives. They're always so full of rage.

Ripley and Dallas do some last minute skilling because it's almost time for them to say goodbye to their childhood. Which was actually fairly care-free and totally lacking in skill gaining, hence the "GAH! They have zero skill points and they're about to become teens" panic.

These two get along like a house on fire. As they should - they have almost identical personalities. Lambert has 2 neat points more than Rosemary but that's it. Otherwise - totally identical.

A short interlude to tell you that we finally have a second secret lot membership card.

I really don't understand what is going on with this family. Usually, by this late stage in generation 1, a family usually has multiple membership cards and a genie lamp. These guys just managed to gain their second membership card. It's weird and totally unlike what usually happens in my game.

One final hug before...

Dallas and Ripley confetti-explode into inappropriate clothing and hair.

Lazy-stats:

And finally the twins as teens!

Ripley!!!!

Dallas!!!!

This is where I would like to invite all of you to have a think about what you want to happen with the heir poll.

In some RR legacies, they have decided that if a set of twins is born where only Child 3 was expected, the second twin (ie. the 4th child) is allowed to also participate in the heir poll and having them participate did not unduly delay the poll by having to wait around for a delayed aging. Since we have a case of 2 sets of twins, there would not be any undue delay with having Parker be included in the heir poll. So can everyone have a chat amongst themselves or express some sort of an opinion somewhere as to whether you want Parker included in the poll or not.

There will be either another 1 or 2 updates in this generation. It all depends on how how many pictures I take while each set of twins is going through their teens.

See you next time!

HAHAHAHAHA! Now I know what you meant when you said he was showing signs early. XD

Rosemary: Once upon a time there lived a beautiful princess and she had a really kick-ass toilet that cost 900 simoleons.
I want to read that story. >.>

Lambert: I bet her toilet lost a lot of value over that time. Tell me the part about the toilet again.
SERIOUSLY. TELL ME THAT PART AGAIN.

Lambert: After a bajillion years surely they had developed some sort of rocket technology? This story is sadly lacking in details as to what happened to the toilet and there are not enough rockets.
HAHAHAHAHA, omg, such laughter is bad at midnight on a full bladder. o-o

LOOKIT THOSE BIG STICKY OUTY EARS. <3333

Ripley thought that the Human Statue was highly amusing.
She's obviously laughing at the fact that he has poo on his foot and doesn't know yet. XD

OOOOOH I love Ripley: her tiny mouth and slightly wide face are SUPER ADORABLE. The skin helps, too. XD

I do not know why, but the plumbbobs on the bed tickle me xD

Yeah I am TOTALLY with you there. Ethnic food covers so many different types of ethnicities I can't possibly see how it automatically means spicy on ANY level. O_O;;

She's maxed on alignment but she knows zero about being a witch.
LOL metaphor for a lot of faux real world witches? xD

then proceeded to drum for the rest of the night.
to the walllll spooky xD And kind of depressingly lonesome

omg are the specific book images from freetime? *jealous*

GODDAMN Ripley look SO GORGEOUS in her teen transition shot. THe hair and face combination WIN.

A note on heir polls? In the Behrs we're doing only three are eligible - BUT the person who gets them next can pick which three go to voting. Which is how I managed to get Elfin Magic even though it was a shock. xD Kat's decided which of the Behrs will go to poll when its up already from adult shots and it'll keep on going like that. :D

Yeah - the castle and stuff. The only images I ever get when kids are being read to are the toilet, rocket, bear ones. MAAANG I want a gaming machine ;_;

*nods* I showed adult pictures to Kat and told her about options so she could make a decision before I'd finished posting. When she decided, for example, one of the kids that will be eligible was still a toddler (posting wise) xD

Terrific update Engram!
Your toilet story is extremely hilarious! (Totally want to hear what happened to the princess, too...)

OMG...so many adorable kidlets!
(I think having both sets of twins in the heir poll is perfectly fine. It's going to make the voting a challenge, that's all...lol!)

Looking forward to seeing all the kids as adults!

Awesome update! The toilet story was hilarious :D
I think that since they are all twins, all 4 of them should participate in the poll. Maybe you should start a poll in the Hallows community on whether all 4 of them should participate or not. But i think they should.

Aargh. I read this the other day and forgot to comment DX Sorry!
Brilliant update :D I awwed right out loud at that toddler close-up of Parker, he's a cutie-patootie indeed. Loving teen Dallas and teen Ripley too, they've inherited such a great mix of features and both are gorgeous without looking too much alike. The toilet story is win :D as are kitties and teleportation fail!

holy cow...Parker is beyond adorable. i don't think there is anything wrong with letting him in the heir poll if he was a twin.

so far, having a hard time between ripley and dallas. LOVE ripley's skin tone and hair and she's cute...but dallas' facial features are to die for.

you weren't kidding! it's gonna be hard...
