I only got to play the vamp for 1 sim day but so far so good. They are daywalkers and take about 2 or 3 days to transform after being turned. I haven't taken my vamp hunting yet (helps them to identify yummy sims - I guess that's a Twilight reference to some blood being more appealing than other?) but she's managed to turn her boyfriend (he hasn't transformed yet) and has read a sim's mind. So far she doesn't seem to have been making any specific idle animations, so it's kind of like having a sim with a weird skintone and glowing eyes with some super powers thrown in on top. Apparently they can run really fast but I haven't seen any of them do this, either. And according to the Prima extract I saw they're supposed to skill twice as fast as normal sims. But then the Prima also said they bite a sim's neck but all the ones I've seen just gnaw on the victim's forearm. The snarl and other noises they at the time is actually quite gruesome, or so I thought last night because I didn't quite expect it.
I suppose that with the Twilight references they tried to make it relevant to the players. I like to pretend that the daywalking is a Blade reference instead.
